EGOS 2024 – it’s a wrap!

Dear everyone, it’s been an amazing few days in Milan. On behalf of Markus, Mark, and April, we would like to thank each and every one of you for your great support and dedication in making our sub-theme on “The Experience of Space and Place in Extreme Contexts” such a success. The last few days have been a demonstration of the great community we have built and continue to build. The atmosphere and everyone’s willingness to support each other has been remarkable.

With topics ranging from vanishing islands to mountaineering to prison work, our community has also demonstrated the incredibly interesting, socially impactful and diverse issues that we as extreme context researchers address.

Below is a little wink from our new community mascot, which will be traveling with us to future workshops and conferences. Keep an eye out for him in the future!

We are very much looking forward to seeing each other again in the not-so-distant future 🙂
